Main duties of the job

The data sources can be unstructured as well as structured. We have built a powerful and highly flexible system to enable writing bespoke T-SQL scripts to transform the data for loading into our SQL database repository. You will be tasked with building SQL scripts for loading data from various sources, mainly CSV files and Excel spreadsheets.

We are looking for skilled T-SQL writers, with excellent problem-solving skills, good communication skills, and forward thinkers.

You will work as part of a team of Data Loaders, with a range of abilities, and assist them in writing scripts.

Job Description & Person Specification

Contract:	Full Time - Permanent
Base:	Home worker / Adastral Park, Martlesham, Ipswich or alternative approved Hot Desk Facility
Reports to:	Head of Data Loading Department
Hours:	37.5 hours per week
Starting salary:	£38,000 (rising with career progression/technical development)

Main tasks:

• Writing T-SQL scripts to ETL data from a variety of sources including Excel, CSV
• Checking and testing colleague's T-SQL scripts
• Maintaining and improving our in-house ETL Dev System
• Mentor the team to develop their skills further
